In the year
2012 a severe crisis of world economy unsettled all continents. Caused by a chain
reaction of massive losses at the international stock market, many countries impoverished
within a few years.
This effect was increased by the most devastating environmental catastrophies
ever noticed by meteorologists. In South America and the Pacific countries "El
Nino" ravaged several harvests, while the mayor part of Bangladesh was submerged.
The zone of Sahel was anguished by persistant drought and in Europe blizzards
raged. Up to this date the political situtation was instable, but now escalated
more and more. Innumerous regional conflicts became to wars.
Beginning at 2017 the survivors unified to big federal nations, because they saw
the best chances for a solution of their problems in a union. After three years
there existed no more than eight nations. Their economy was strictly centralistic
organized. Non-agression-treaties were signed at the famous summit meeting 2020.
The borders of the countries were not fixed.
The final oratory of the president of the Western Industrialized Nations finished
with those words: "...The shunts for the reconstruction of our debilitated civilizations
are fixed. Now it is our duty to avoid previous mistakes, rebuild a functioning
economy with an ecological base and to grant prosperity for our peoples. Now there
exists a second chance for mankind!"
