In "Strategema" two hostile armies try to defeat each other on a battlefield (which differs every game). With several military units (2 types of air unit, 5 types of land unit and 3 types of water unit) both sides occupy as much structures as possible. These structures allow to buy or repair the military units. If the occupation seems impossible, it often is of strategic advantage to destroy structures by attack. On ground tactical operations are necessary to use or avoid advantages or disadvantages of terrain for certain types of units (10 different types of landscape). The main danger is the surprise attack, because the position and properties of hostile units must be explored permanently. The calculation of game score is based on the possession of structures and units. If one side exceeds 1000 points, this side wins, if the score collapses below 50 points, the game is lost. But attention! A harmed enemy remains dangerous, because if after 50 turns no one wins, the game ends standoff.

You may fight against another human player (on one screen) or struggle with an artificial player managed by the computer. In that case you may determine his strength and intelligence at the game start. But don't forget: the AI-enemy decides fast, but not hurried!
